The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator the incumbent will contribute to projects involving evidence synthesis and the analysis of large linked health administrative data as well as performing related administrative tasks and scientific writing.
General Duties
Actively participates in the execution of the ongoing research projects: RADAR-TB and TB-RESIDUAL which are CIHR-funded individual participant data meta-analyses of post-tuberculosis respiratory sequelae and a CIHR-funded analysis of linked health administrative data in BC evaluating TB risks among permanent residents
Is responsible for various administrative tasks including grant/protocol writing and contacting authors for additional data
Supports other members of the lab working on these projects
Independently leads the writing of scientific papers.
Excellent English spoken and written
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision
Knowledge of tuberculosis an asset.
Status: Temporary full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience. $55692.00 - $103412.40.
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
Work Site: 5252 Maisonneuve
