Job Summary
My client a long-established and highly regarded organization within the dairy processing industry has built its reputation on quality reliability and strong customer partnerships. They are now adding a Senior Manager Engineeringan opportunity for a proven leader to shape engineering strategy elevate team performance and champion innovation across the operation. This role offers the chance to lead impactful initiatives strengthen cross-functional collaboration and directly influence continuous improvement and long-term business success.
SHORT ROLE SUMMARY
Lead mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Oversee and prioritize engineering projects that enhance operations reduce costs and strengthen quality.
Approve engineering designs and process changes while tracking progress on key improvement initiatives.
Collaborate closely with Operations and cross-functional teams to resolve issues minimize downtime and improve workflows.
Support budgeting capital planning and resource allocation through data-driven decisions. Ensure compliance with food safety employee safety and environmental regulationswhile evaluating new technologies for efficiency gains.
- Strategic planning - Participate in budgeting and capital planning including project justification and resource allocation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Controls or Process).
8-10 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering (including leadership roles).
Experience in food and beverage manufacturing preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with process control systems and complex manufacturing equipment.
Working knowledge of statistical tools metrics and dashboards.
Proven experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong technical background with the ability to guide and challenge engineering decisions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments and leadership levels
Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and managing capital projects
Commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement
