Senior Adviser, Clients & Markets (Projects Stream)

The Role

This exciting role will support the strategic market client and practice growth initiatives for our Projects Group which encompasses Construction Real Estate Environment and Sustainable Development (ESD) Project Finance and Energy. This is a parental leave cover role for an initial period of 12 months.

Working closely under the mentorship of senior Clients & Markets professionals you will have the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading partners and lawyers to drive client engagement identify new opportunities and promote the Firms brand and capabilities in a competitive legal market.

This highly sought-after role offers variety and challenge enabling you to further develop your skills in the professional services sector while contributing to the growth of our Projects Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with drafting and managing tenders bids proposals capability statements thought leadership projects and fee-earner profiles specific to the Projects Group.
• Proactively supporting practice managers to identify pursue and convert client opportunities and other stream initiatives.
• Conducting market analysis and related research to identify trends and opportunities within Construction Real Estate ESD and Energy sectors.
• Collating and preparing firm directory and award submissions relevant to the Projects Group.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and manage client relationships across the Projects Group and the firms strategic growth areas.
• Coordinating in-house client seminar programs including webinars and events tailored to the Projects Group.
• Developing a profile and credibility with internal stakeholders across the firm actively promoting the Clients & Markets function its expertise and capabilities.
• Supporting other tasks as required by the Clients & Markets Manager.
• Training and working with younger members of the Clients & Markets team.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

• 4 years experience in a business development communications or related role ideally gained within a professional services/corporate environment.
• Tertiary qualification in marketing law communications or a similar business discipline.
• Strong experience in managing and drafting tenders and proposals.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word PowerPoint Excel and Visio).

In addition you will possess the following attributes:

• A natural ability to build rapport and relationships with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong project and time management skills including the ability to efficiently manage stakeholder expectations and competing deadlines.
• A positive can-do attitude with the ability and desire to work and collaborate within a dynamic team.

The Clients & Markets Team

The Clients & Markets team provides advice and services to the business across the full spectrum of marketing and business development initiatives from brand awareness and design media and communications events research and analysis opportunity identification pursuits and bid management to key client account management.

As part of the Projects Group you will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of practice areas that are critical to the firms success including Construction Real Estate ESD Project Finance and Energy.
