Hiring at this level requires precision discretion and a deeply respectful candidate experience. The Recruiting team plays a critical role in how leaders and senior contributors experience OpenAI often through their very first interactions with the company.

About the Role

Were looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter who advises hiring managers and partners closely with senior leaders across the organization. Youre driven to work on high-value talent initiatives and are close to the industrys most sought-after talent. Youll work with our existing team membersincluding technical recruiters coordinators sourcers and cross-functional partnersto drive key hires across engineering AI and technical domains.

This role is based in San Francisco CA. We use a hybrid work model of 4 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role you will:

  • Act as a strategic partner to hiring leaders; align on priorities org design and proactive pipelines across key areas.

  • Source engage and nurture top talent across cross hardware software design research and/or operations.

  • Use data (funnels passthrough rates cycle time source mix) to improve process leveling and compensation decisions.

  • Shape interview plans and rubrics; uphold consistent inclusive assessments and a great candidate experience.

  • Craft compelling closing narratives and navigate complex competitive negotiations.

  • Collaborate closely with sourcing partners on talent maps and longterm pipelines.
