Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to create edit and maintain technical documentation manuals user guides and digital content in a fully remote environment. The successful candidate will translate complex technical concepts into clear concise and accurate documentation to support internal teams clients and end-users.

This position is strictly limited to candidates who currently reside in the United States and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop write and edit technical documents including user manuals installation guides API documentation standard operating procedures and knowledge base content

Collaborate with engineers product managers subject matter experts and QA teams to gather technical information

Ensure technical documentation is clear accurate and accessible to the target audience

Maintain version control and document management systems

Review and update existing documentation to reflect changes in products processes or regulations

Create visual aids diagrams flowcharts and info graphics to enhance understanding

Ensure compliance with corporate legal and industry documentation standards

Support the development and improvement of documentation templates and style guides

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Technical Communication English Computer Science Engineering or a related field

Minimum of 35 years of experience in technical writing or technical documentation

Strong understanding of technical writing principles and documentation standards

Excellent written verbal and communication skills

Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Office Adobe FrameMaker MadCap Flare Confluence or similar platforms

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and productively in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in software development IT engineering or scientific industries

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and version control tools (e.g. Git)

Knowledge of API documentation HTML Markdown or XML

Prior experience with UX writing or instructional design

Compensation:

Annual Salary Range: $70000 $100000 USD commensurate with experience technical expertise and geographic location
