Job Summary
Medical Director Franklin TN
We are seeking a Part-Time Medical Director to join our team of medical professionals at Medi-Weightloss in Franklin TN.
This flexible role is ideal for a physician with an active practice or established presence in the Franklin/Nashville area who wants to make a positive impact on the health of the local community.
The Medical Director works independently with support from a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner and a Medical Assistant. The environment is fast-paced and the position is multifaceted.
Essential Job Functions
- Review patient files in accordance with Tennessee state guidelines.
- Oversee mid-level providers and clinical staff.
- Participate in quality improvement management continuing education and other patient care programs.
- Assist with protocol development and delivery of staff training.
- Provide clinical guidance and direction to staff and leadership.
- Coordinate patient care and facilitate referrals as needed.
- Advise on implementation of patient care and clinic policies.
- Provide insight on market conditions and potential practice opportunities in the Franklin area.
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical records.
- Participate in interviewing hiring and evaluation of clinic personnel.
- Support patient communications and resolution of concerns.
Additional Duties
- Document patient progress in EMR.
- Conduct patient consultations and follow-ups.
- Participate in refresher trainings (regional onsite boot camps or e-learning).
- Perform other clinical tasks necessary for day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Active Tennessee Medical License and DEA Certification (required).
- Specialty in General Practice Family Medicine Internal Medicine or OBGYN (preferred).
- Active medical practice or residence in Franklin or the Greater Nashville Area.
