Job Summary
- Position is Platform Engineering / Infrastructure Engineering not traditional software development.
- Responsibilities include:
- Managing distributed platforms and services (Airflow Spark Flink Grafana).
- Containerization lifecycle: building Docker/Podman images deploying to production managing multi-node environments.
- Troubleshooting performance and system issues.
- Automation using Python scripts for orchestration and system tasks.
- Monitoring and alerting using tools like Splunk Prometheus Grafana.
- Exposure to networking/firewall troubleshooting.
Primary Skills
- Mandatory:
- Docker & Podman (containerization lifecycle).
- Linux/Unix administration.
- Python scripting (1 2 years experience).
- Platform management in production (Airflow Spark Flink or similar).
- Secondary:
- Kubernetes (good to have).
- Helm charts.
- Monitoring tools (Splunk Prometheus Grafana).
- Knowledge of firewalls and networking basics.
Experience Level
- Minimum 4 years of experience.
Work Arrangement
- Remote opportunity.
- Flexible hours but mandatory availability from 6 PM to 9 PM IST for US overlap.
- Suggested schedule: 12 PM to 9 PM IST.
