Job Summary

Title: SAP CORE ABAP
Location: PARISPPANY NJ

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and deploy ABAP Cloud solutions leveraging S/4 ABAP Cloud for WRICEF objects.
Clean Core Backend Development with latest Syntax
Integrates S/4HANA with external systems via APIs and events. (AEM)
Builds in-app extensions using RAP and BAdIs.
Works on forms custom reports enhancements and CDS views.
Participate in greenfield implementations from requirement gathering through to go-live and support.
Provide hands-on support for existing systems ensuring stability scalability and performance.
Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams fostering seamless communication and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions in different time zones.
Participate in code reviews unit testing and deployment activities.
Troubleshoot complex issues across back-end and integration layers.
Stay up to date with emerging SAP technologies and recommend best practices to the team.
Deliver high-quality code and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

Core ABAP: Proficient of ABAP language including object-oriented concepts.
ABAP Cloud & RAP: Experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) including behavior definitions and metadata extensions.
Service and API Development: Ability to create and extend ABAP RESTful services and APIs for integration.
SAP HANA: Skills in using Core Data Services (CDS views) and other HANA-specific features like AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures).
Data Modeling: Understanding of data structures and how to model them especially with CDS views.
Integration: Hands-on experience of integrating with both SAP and non-SAP systems including RESTful / SOAP APIs/OData.
Modern UIs: Familiarity with building OData services for modern UIs like SAP Fiori.
Version Control: Proficiency with modern version control systems especially Git and SAPs CTS.
Clean-Core Development: Adherence to principles that maintain the stability of SAPs core system and allow for smooth upgrades.
ADT tools: Eclipse or equivalent.
Ensures compliance with SAPs clean core guidelines.
Proven experience as a ABAP Cloud Developer with hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP.
Experience in greenfield implementations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working with distributed teams (onshore/offshore).
Proficiency in modern development frameworks tools syntax and methodologies.
Must be a strong team player.
Must have a focus on customer satisfaction.
Ability to listen understand and facilitate process improvements.
Minimum 4 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA application development using RAP model.

Preferred Qualifications

S/4 HANA 2023 On-Prem development experience

SAP certification in S/4HANA or BTP.
Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
Knowledge of agile delivery methodologies.

Understanding of Order to Cash(OTC) or MAKE processes.
