Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Assist the Finance Manager with full financial management responsibilities across the business.
- Oversee month-end and year-end processes ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare management accounts financial statements and variance analyses.
- Support budgeting forecasting and strategic planning cycles.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with IFRS tax legislation and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls and implement process improvements.
- Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors.
Operational Finance
- Oversee accounts payable accounts receivable and cashbook functions.
- Manage cost allocations inventory valuation and fixed asset registers.
- Analyse financial performance and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Support procurement and supply chain teams with financial insights.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate closely with operational teams to provide financial guidance.
- Present results and insights to management and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to business decisions that improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) Essential
- 13 years post-article experience (preferably within manufacturing engineering industrial or technical sectors).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Analytical thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
- High energy solutions-driven and eager to grow into a senior finance role.
