Job Summary

IMC is currently hiring aLab Supervisor for our North Campus location. The Lab Supervisor isresponsible for professional application of the principles theories andtechniques of clinical laboratory science necessary to produce reliable resultsto aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of patients and maintainingskills in manual and automated testing of moderate and high complexity in allsections of the laboratory. The labsupervisor must work efficiently unsupervised and is expected to exerciseindependent judgment; is responsible for computer skills proficiency in usingthe Laboratory Information System and for abiding by all regulatoryrequirements.
EDUCATION
- B.S. degree in Medical Technology Microbiology Chemistry or Biological Science
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Certification as Medical Technologist by ASCP or NCA.
- Current license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Generalist with the LSBME
- 12 months internship through a School of Medical Technology or previous MLT training
- 2 years experience as a Medical Technologist
