Job Summary

Job Title: Backend Developer

Location: Lisbon Portugal

Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid (2x office days)

Overview / Summary:

We are looking for experienced Quarkus Backend Developers to join our team for a project in Lisbon. The ideal Developers should have strong experience in Java microservices development cloud technologies and DevOps practices with excellent communication skills in both Portuguese and English.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Develop and maintain microservices using Java and Quarkus.
Apply DevOps practices to support continuous integration and deployment.
Work with relational and non-relational databases.
Implement messaging and streaming solutions using Kafka.
Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

Degree in Software Engineering Computer Engineering or similar (preferred).
4 years of experience including extensive work with Java and Quarkus microservices.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
Experience with Kafka Docker Kubernetes and cloud environments (AWS).
Knowledge of DevOps practices.
Experience with reactive programming (Mutiny Hibernate Reactive etc.) (plus)
Experience with Angular (plus)

Complementary Requirements:

Java certifications.
Cloud-related certifications.
Kubernetes certifications.
