We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager I - Day Ward in a Hospital in Galway Ireland.
34 hours per week/Part-Time
Responsibilities
- Ensures that nursing care is delivered to the greatest possible standard using evidence-based care planning in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- In collaboration with the CNM 11 is responsible for the effective management of the Day Ward and the coordination of all nurse care activities to provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients.
- Provision of professional / clinical leadership of staff within the ward/unit.
- Supervision of qualified and unqualified staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- Leading in the organisation of continuing nursing education by participating in teaching guidance and assessment of staff.
Requirements
Must be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with at least 3 years nursing experience.
Requires relevant management qualification or experience.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to change to support continuity of patient care.
Assists in the day-to-day management of the department including staff allocation rostering supervision workload assessment performance monitoring communication stock control and adherence to policies.
Acts as deputy when required.
Takes responsibility for administrative duties outside office hours when senior nursing staff are absent as agreed with the Director of Nursing.
Maintains a safe environment for patients visitors and staff ensuring compliance with all safety measures.
Ensures high standards of cleanliness hygiene and infection control and ensures staff follow the agreed dress code.
Promotes a collaborative and patient-centred approach to care.
