At Murdoch Active were a passionate team dedicated to promoting health fitness and well-being across the Murdoch University community. We deliver high-quality sport and recreation programs that enrich student life and foster strong connections with the University.
Our team operates a range of facilities including the Active Gym Sports and Recreation Hall indoor and outdoor courts and playing fieldscreating opportunities for everyone to get active and engaged.
Your New Role!
Join the Murdoch Active team as an Exercise Physiologist and lead the development of a comprehensive rehabilitation program within our gym facilities. Youll create an inclusive environment that promotes health and well-being for students staff and the wider community while supporting Murdoch Universitys teaching and learning objectives through student placement supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement safe accessible exercise physiology programs for diverse participants.
Supervise and mentor students during placements ensuring learning outcomes are met.
Assist with daily operations of Murdoch Active facilities and help build strong stakeholder relationships to promote fitness and well-being across campus.

This Fixed Term (12 Months) Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $89K $96K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What youll bring to the role:
A tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or a related higher-level discipline.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder and customer relationships.
Proven leadership experience including staff supervision training and mentoring.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities effectively.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong problem-solving abilities that reflect initiative and adaptability.
Current First Aid Certificate.
