We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Youll join a diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other vital roles. Youll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
- Be responsible for deploying network infrastructure across all of our network fabrics that supports the Amazon Retail Service and AWS services.
- Deploy scale and automate our network across many global data centers. This includes existing footprints and new locations.
- Identify opportunities and develop tooling and to increase scaling velocity and quality.
- Create simple repeatable processes and improve upon existing processes.
- Work closely with our internal customers on designs/solutions; bringing those designs/solutions from concept to production.
- Create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards.
- Work closely with our teams in defining the platforms and frameworks that allow us to scale at unprecedented volume.

A day in the life
Amazons Enterprise Network team helps scale and automate of one of the worlds largest and complex networks. The Enterprise Network provides mission-critical global connectivity for internal services and business applications datacenter infrastructure equipment andinternal this role you will look for innovative and creative ways to automate and scale our next-generation network architectures.

- Experience in major internet routing protocols specifically BGP and OSPF
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks
- Experience in one or more scripting languages (e.g. Python Ruby Perl)
- Experience in troubleshooting layer 2 and 3 network problems

- Experience coding and scripting in Python Perl BASH or equivalent
- Experience working with customers to diagnose a problem and work towards resolution
- Basic understanding of the UNIX/LINUX operating environments with the ability to navigate manipulate and understand the file structure.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate efficiently with peers stakeholders and customers on projects
