The successful candidate will participate in research activities in the Choby Laboratory. The objective of this position is to serve as a Research Specialist in the Choby Lab. The lab is focused on understanding the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance and heteroresistance in Gram-negative bacteria. We require personnel to perform molecular biology and bacterial genetics techniques to manipulate the genome of clinical isolates and perform assays that measure the frequency of populations in a bacterial culture that is resistant to a particular antibiotic. These manipulations and measurements are used to elucidate mechanisms of antibiotic resistance and phenotypic heterogeneity.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
