What impact youll make:
As a member of the Gas Power Global Supply Chain Process Center of Excellence the Fixed Asset Finance Manager is the key finance partner across gas steam generator heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) repairs value streams and functions. This role is responsible for execution of the fixed asset process analytics and reporting as part of the center of excellence to support improvements to core finance processes enabling efficiencies to downstream operating partners.
What youll do
Manage inspire and coach large direct and indirect team fostering career growth in a collaborative team environment to develop strong pipeline of finance talent
Oversight over managed service provider to ensure delivery of service level agreement (SLA) metrics
Subject matter expert (SME) in key supply chain and financial processes related to fixed asset and capital spending including policies procedures budgeting initiation acquisition capitalization maintenance and reporting
Drive improvement to reporting accuracy efficiency and controls around actual capital spending and capital in progress (CIP) including aging analytics to ensure timely capitalization of assets
Support controllership and sites to enhance key controls roles & responsibilities and reporting around idle assets impairment reviews asset maintenance and fixed asset physical inventories
Deliver continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data analytics and reporting integrity around fixed asset subledger depreciation actuals forecast and planning site re-investment ratios and CIP aging
Able to partner with key stakeholders to support development of harmonized standard global operating procedures documenting key procedures and providing training to onboard and support extended team
Communicate and align global calendar aligned to fixed assets and capital operating rhythms across GSC Finance teams (annual fixed asset physical inventories budget etc)
Able to effectively communicate current state and future state process & controls and develop solutions to align system/process differences across global supply chain
Coordinate with Data & Analytics COE to deliver high impact financial analytics and controls that drives operational accountability predictability and transparency
What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelors degree in Accounting Business or Finance or equivalent knowledge or experience
Leadership experience managing coaching and influencing direct and indirect team
Strong written and verbal communication in English
Knowledge of accounting policies and practices including US GAAP and fixed assets
Prior knowledge of manufacturing system ERPs (i.e. SAP Oracle BAAN) and with digital and automation tools such as Tableau RP
