The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and stabilizing patients in the emergency room coordinating patient care and providing effective communication with staff patients and families. Our part-time ER Nurses work two12-hour shifts week and our full-time ER Nurses work three 12-hour shifts weekly. Night shift receives an additional 10% differential pay. We are willing to hire part-time or full-time for this opening.
$10000 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR FULL-TIME $5000 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR PART-TIME. Job purpose A clinically competent registered licensed nurse who provides immediate specialized emergency care with a multidisciplinary emergency medical service provider team. Must possess the basic and advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills.Qualifications - Valid and current registration New York StateRN license
- BLS upon hire ACLS and PALS certification within the first twomonths of hire. (free classes offered to employees onsite)
- Preferred minimum of two years of medical/surgical (or similar) nursing experience and/or one year of Emergency Medicine or Critical Care experience
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care.
It is the employees responsibility to know the requirements for certification limited permit and licensure for their individual profession. It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue. The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession. Working conditions and Physical requirements - Regular day evening night and weekend shifts.
- OSHA Category A potential for exposure to blood and other infectious body substances.
- Bending lifting standing walking must possess the physical ability to perform CPR.
