Job Summary
Functioning within the Health System s mission vision values policies and procedures the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on their shift. RN responsibilities include assessing planning implementing and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning directing and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
Requirement description :
- 2 Years of Experience - REQUIRED
- Attendance: must be committed to reporting for all assigned shifts and be on time.
- Must be competent with Cardiac medications (Cardizem Amiodarone Nitro Heparin Cardine Dobutamine Lasix Bumex) and have knowledge of titration and application of these medications. - Required
- Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms. - Required
- Must possess critical thinking skills be able to recognize change in patient status and intervene - Required
- Must possess knowledge of signs/symptoms of stroke recognize change in patient status and intervene. - Required
- Must have strong communication skills.

- Skills Checklist current to 1 year pertinent to the specialty (Med Surg/Telemetry) - REQUIRED DOCUMENT
- Active American Heart Association BLS - REQUIRED DOCUMENT
- Active American Heart Association ACLS - REQUIRED DOCUMENT
- Active NIHSS Certification - REQUIRED DOCUMENT
- Nursys must show Active Ohio/OH or Compact RN License - REQUIRED DOCUMENT
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
- Ohio
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Must be active!
Weekend Requirements : Every Other Weekend
On Call Requirements : No Call
