Pay | : | HK$69414 to HK$87341 (HMPS point 3 8) per month including Monthly Allowance Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. |
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the health information and medical records services.
2. Establish update enforce and improve the standard of health information and records services.
3. Ensure all aspects of security safety and confidentiality within health information and records service are in order / meet current standard.
4. Implement quality assurance programmes to ensure long-term improvement of health information and record series in areas such as Patient Master Index hospital statistics and morbidity data etc.
5. Assist in planning health information and records systems.
6. Liaise with other departments and hospitals on areas related to health information and records management.
7. Coordinate the release of information for health information and records services.
8. Manage and supervise daily operation of the registration counter and health informatics & records department of hospital functions including death matters IPAS data access medical reports staff supervision etc.
9. Provide training programmes to staff on areas related to health information and records systems.
10. Provide management / statistical reports.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Entry Requirements:
1. (a) A degree/higher degree in Health Information Management/Health Informatics; OR
(b) A degree plus
(i) a postgraduate diploma in Health Information Management/Health Informatics; or
(ii) a higher degree specialising in Health Information Management; or
(iii) a higher degree specialising in Health Informatics; or
(iv) an advanced diploma in Health Informatics.
2. Knowledge of clinical coding medical terminology and health care/hospital statistics.
3. At least 2 years of experience in managing the health information and record services/health informatics.
Preferable Attributes/Exposure:
1. Experience in data management.
