Civil Engineer II (RailTransit Projects) 2 Years of Experience is Required

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer II to support the planning design and delivery of BRT and LRT projects nationally. The successful candidate will bring a collaborative mindset to support AECOMs growing Transit-Rail this role you will support the Austin TX Houston TX or New Orleans LA Office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support efforts for BRT projects including roadway design drainage design maintenance of traffic station design civil/site grading and transit signal priority systems.
• Support multidisciplinary teams through all project phasesfrom conceptual design through construction.
• Ensure compliance with FTA guidelines local agency standards and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with transit agencies municipalities and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Mentor entry engineers and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education      

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Experience with transit infrastructure design including LRT BRT and commuter rail.
• Familiarity with transit agencies and regional transportation priorities.
• Experience in engineering project delivery including design and construction phases.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards permitting and regulatory processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
