Job Summary
At New Story Schools we serve students ages 521 with autism and emotional behavioral and developmental challenges. Guided by individualized learning therapeutic integration and collaboration we empower students to grow and prepare for meaningful adult lives. Join our team and help students write their new story.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at New Story Schools you will support student health and wellness by providing compassionate high-quality care throughout the school day. Youll assist with medication administration first aid and health monitoring under the direction of a Certified School Nurse or physician. Your calm caring presence will help ensure students can focus on learning in a safe supportive environment.
What Youll Need
Current Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
Experience providing nursing care to children or adolescents
Knowledge of common medical conditions medication administration and infection control procedures
Strong communication organization and documentation skills
Ability to remain calm and effective during medical or behavioral emergencies
What Youll Do
Provide basic nursing care first aid and health support to students during the school day
Administer medications and document care according to physician orders and school policies
Monitor students with chronic conditions and report changes in health status to the Certified School Nurse
Support staff with student health needs and communicate effectively with families when appropriate
Assist with maintaining a clean safe and compliant health office environment
