The Job Mission
This is a full time on site role at Hinkley Point C so youll need to live within commuting distance of Bridgwater or be ready to relocate with support available.
The position offers a chance to take on broader responsibility across temporary infrastructure and utilities ideal for someone ready to move into a first managerial style role.
A key focus is shaping the planning and coordination of temporary construction assets while learning how these services operate across a major project.
The role supports the smooth safe running of daily construction activity giving you real ownership over a vital service area as you grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily delivery of a core utilities support service
Oversee compliance with statutory regulatory and site controls
Build effective working relationships with the service contract partner
Ensure contractor competence and escalate capability gaps quickly
Implement delivery plans to meet project needs and schedules
Intervene early to prevent issues and protect service performance
Help develop procedures that support strategy within your work area
Contribute to technical specifications for procurement activities
Coordinate with site teams to align utilities work with wider plans
Work cooperatively with local supply chain partners
Qualifications :
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Engineering background with utilities experience like pumps lighting or dewatering
Strong experience working on active construction sites
Ability to manage delivery in fast changing site environments
Proven coordination of contractors or service teams
Clear communication and confident relationship building on site
Experience working within large or complex project structures
Strong organisation and effective time management skills
Flexible approach to changing scopes and priorities
Comfortable working on a highly regulated construction site
Commitment to working cooperatively with local supply chain partners
