As a Sintering Process Engineer you will join our engineering team to support advanced PCB manufacturing programmes with a focus on Silicon Carbide (SiC) die attach and sintering processes. You will work closely with manufacturing materials and product engineering teams to develop optimise and validate high-reliability interconnect and packaging processes for high-performance power electronics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Developing optimising and validating sintering processes for SiC die attach within PCB manufacturing.
- Supporting full manufacturing lifecycle including process setup pilot builds ramp-up and yield improvement.
- Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to translate device requirements into robust production processes.
- Conducting process capability studies characterisation tests and failure mode analysis.
- Driving improvements in reliability manufacturability and throughput for die interconnect processes.
- Working with suppliers and equipment partners on materials tooling and sintering equipment.
- Supporting documentation including work instructions process control plans PFMEA and test report
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- Experience in sintering processes (silver sintering pressure/pressure less sintering or equivalent).
- Background in PCB manufacturing semiconductor packaging or power electronics assembly.
- Familiarity with Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductor dies or other wide bandgap devices.
- Hands-on experience transferring processes from development to production.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in Materials Science Mechanical Electrical or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in semiconductor packaging power modules or die attach processes.
- Knowledge of reliability testing thermal cycling or high-power device validation.
- Understanding of metallisation surface prep bonding or advanced PCB technologies.
- Exposure to Six Sigma Lean manufacturing or statistical process control methods.
