Behavioral Health Associate

Behavioral Health Associates are responsible for providing personal care services to patients at the facility under the direction of clinical or nursing leadership. Candidate must demonstrate a positive empathetic and professional attitude towards clients and recognize that patient safety is a top entry-level position has opportunities to grow!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Include:

• Demonstrate a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety and provide excellent customer services.
• Complete and maintain required documentation. Assist with follow-up and paperwork as required on incidents and events that may take place in the facility.
• Responsible for conducting safety checks and ensuring that supervision is conducted at 15 minute intervals as noted in special precautions or in accordance with individualized supervision guidelines as needed.
• Interact routinely with patients observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
• May oversee or assist patients with activities of daily living including toileting bathing dressing grooming oral hygiene meals snacks hydration and changing bed linens.
• Facilitate patient educational-rehabilitative groups which cover a variety of topics including social skills coping skills anger management and independent living skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma required
• Detail oriented in both observation and application
• Team-oriented personality abilities and willingness

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Organizational skills - proficient
• Relational-people skills - excellent
• Telephone communication skills - excellent
• Computer - MS (Word & Excel) andexperience with electronic record keeping- proficient
• Familiarity with 12-step Recovery preferred
• RADT certification required (or to be acquired upon hire)

Compensation for roles at Duffys Rehab varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location role skill set and level of experience.âAs required by local law Duffys Rehab provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California set forth below.
