Job Summary

St. Charles Catholic School located in Bloomington serves students in pre-school through 8th grade and has a long history rooted in the Catholic faith. For Spring 2026 we are seeking to hire an energetic and positive teacher for maternity leave positions in 1st grade. Maternity leave would start mid-March and run through the end of the year in May. The teacher would be responsible for establishing routines and procedures building positive relationships and teaching a standards-aligned curriculum that ensures a students love of learning and growth. Modeling Christian values in a faith environment is of priority. Additional duties beyond the classroom assignment may also be assigned.

A teachers license is preferred but not mandatory. Must have a background in working in schools and enjoy teaching children.
