Schedule: MondayFriday 7.5-hour shift between 6:00 AM 8:00 PM

Salary: $38000 $48000 annually (DOE)

Overview

We are seeking Child Care Teachers to support children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in a safe engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment. This role utilizes the Reggio Emilia approach emphasizing creativity independence and child-led exploration. Teachers work collaboratively to support cognitive social emotional and motor development while partnering closely with families.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Reggio approach
Create a safe clean and nurturing classroom environment
Document daily activities progress and observations; communicate with parents
Support childrens cognitive social emotional and motor development
Supervise classroom aides and volunteers as assigned
Maintain compliance with licensing accreditation and infection-control standards
Participate in staff meetings training and continuing education

Requirements

Education (one of the following):

Associate degree in Early Childhood Education Child Psychology or related field
High school diploma plus 40 hours of early childhood coursework
Equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

Minimum 2 years working with children ages 6 weeks6 years (paid or unpaid)
Ability to work in a fast-paced active and occasionally noisy environment

Preferred

Bachelors or Masters in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
CDA (Child Development Associate) certification
Experience with infants (6 weeks2 years)
Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy
