Group & Advance Sales Supervisor | Director of Visitor Experience

The Group Sales Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Group Sales office to create exceptional experiences for group visitors from inquiry to event planning and execution. This role requires daily collaboration and partnerships with internal departments and external partners ideal for a customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building relationships.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of Group & Advance Sales ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Onboard train and supervise part-time and seasonal support staff.
- Drive Group revenue by upselling and closing inbound inquiries performing outbound sales techniques such as prospecting and cold calling and posing innovative suggestions for revenue growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding group experiences including but not limited to tours dining and private events.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all clients by phone email and onsite; maintain strong relationships with tour operators VIP clients and repeat customers.
- Manage reservations payments and confirmations using ticketing systems.
- Enforce policies manage follow-ups and send pre-visit information and other correspondence.
- Coordinate internal schedules for group dining group tours and other group activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales or customer service experience preferably in development tourism or hospitality industries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required; proven ability to work effectively both internally and externally.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Personal commitment to customer service excellence.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge of Ticketing Systems/and or database systems a plus.
- Must be available holidays weekends and weekdays as part of regular schedule.
- Must have valid drivers license.
- Must have ability to carry 30 lbs.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position the employee is required to at minimum sit at a desk stand for extended periods of time lift or move up to 25 pounds work outdoors under a variety of weather conditions and occasionally work under moderate or loud work conditions.

- This is a full-time on-site position at the Garden
- The role will require evening and weekend work.
- Some travel will be necessary (e.g. conferences or conventions).
- Working outdoors for events.
Baseline Work Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday; 9 am-5 pm with Sunday and Monday as regular days off. Some evenings and weekends are required.
Salary is commensurate with experience within the range of $48000-$50000.
