Position: Scheduling Coordinator
Location: Canberra ACT
Start date: As soon as possible
Duration: Full-time permanent
Pay rate: $87162 per annum plus 12% superannuation
Overview
Our not-for-profit client is currently seeking a dedicated SchedulingCoordinator to support the delivery of high-quality volunteer services to clients their carers and families. Reporting to the CEO you will be responsible for ensuring systems policies and procedures are in place for recruitment training coordination and ongoing support of volunteers.
You will play a pivotal role in enabling volunteers to provide compassionate high-quality palliative care support working as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on non-clinical client care.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery
Respond promptly to volunteering enquiries and requests for volunteer support.
Coordinate volunteer placements including assessing client needs matching volunteers and rostering.
Present education and awareness sessions to community groups as required.
Program Coordination
Maintain volunteer management systems rostering client and volunteer records.
Ensure all volunteer compliance checks and qualifications are current.
Prepare reports and contribute to publications and newsletters.
Volunteer Support and Coordination
Support recruitment onboarding orientation and training of volunteers.
Promote volunteer safety and wellbeing conduct checks debriefs and referrals as needed.
Maintain regular communication with volunteers and act as the first point of contact for performance or concern issues.
Organisational and HR Support
Quality Assurance and Systems Improvement
Skills and Experience Required
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in HR health care psychology allied health or business management.
Experience in volunteer or program coordination.
Proficient in MS Office and familiar with volunteer management or CRM systems.
Knowledge of health care settings and/or the ACT Health System.
Desirable:
Experience in palliative care or health care.
Understanding of person-centred palliative care or volunteer principles.
First Aid qualifications.

Drivers Licence
Police Check (for certain programs)
Influenza vaccination or proof of exemption
Primary COVID vaccination
