The Leidos Defense sector is currently seeking an HR Project Manager to join our best-in-class HR team. The Project Manager will partner with the Sector HR Leader Talent Acquisition Leader and HRBP team to provide leadership and management of critical initiatives across the sector.
Primary Responsibilities
You will have a key role as we grow the Defense sector helping to drive HR strategy and take on critical projects aligned to key focus areas. This position is part of the Defense HR Leadership team and will have a primary focus on the following areas: Talent Development Culture Employee Engagement Data Analytics Workforce Planning Performance Development Compensation and other special projects. Your analytic mindset financial and business acumen and understanding of Human Resources will position you to make a strong impact on the team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Talent Development: Work across HR Leads on the identification and management of high potential talent and development planning creating sector level initiatives to support talent pipelines into critical areas. Manage deliverables for Enterprise and Defense Talent Reviews.
- Data Analytics: Partner with Defense Data Analytics Lead to understand metrics and identify trends. Work across the HRBP team to help tell the data story at the sector and business area levels. Leverage survey data (exit engagement etc) to provide insight into focus areas.
- Culture and Employee Engagement: Lead Defense monthly and quarterly recognition programs. Develop new programs aligned to increasing connection and communication across the sector aligned to business priorities.
- Lead Annual Pay Planning for the Defense.
- Overall Project Management: Develop detailed project plans including scope objectives and multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Promote inter-departmental collaboration within and among the HR team.
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to communicate project updates and results to key stakeholders.
- Analyze data to generate actionable insights for decision making and to mitigate risks.
- Conduct financial modeling to ensure a return on our investments where applicable.
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelors degree and 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong data analytic mindset and the ability to leverage data for story telling
- Strong understanding of Human Resources
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to build and present briefing materials to leadership capturing the scope objectives costs schedule and success metrics for HR initiatives to gain input buy-in and support
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively and influence senior leader decisions
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office products with particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint preferred
