About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and well-planned Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 covering a range of historical periods and themes.
- Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methodologies including discussion research and source analysis.
- Assess student progress through essays presentations and historical investigations providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Contribute to departmental meetings and participate in the development of the Geography curriculum.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Geography.
- A strong knowledge of the secondary Geography curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to make Geography & RE relevant and engaging for students.
- A passion for historical inquiry and the development of students critical thinking skills.
