Senior Internal Communications Manager
The Role:
Our Internal Communications team creates innovative campaigns that connect colleagues with the British Councils strategy and purpose. We aim to inform engage influence behaviours and ultimately drive organisational performance. The team also partners with senior leaders to help them deliver inspiring and impactful communication.
Were looking for someone to provide strategic and hands-on internal communications support for the Cultural Engagement (CE) divisions new strategy and major global change projects. Youll play a key role in implementing recommendations from our recent internal communications audit and identifying opportunities to enhance communication channels content processes and leadership communication across the division.
Accountabilities:
The role involves developing a deep understanding of the Cultural Engagement division its business plan and the broader organisational context to support strategic and change communication. You will design and deliver internal communication projects that align with the CE strategy measure their effectiveness and demonstrate engagement and behavioural impact. Creating compelling written and visual content maintaining campaign schedules and ensuring alignment with global and regional communications are essential. The position also requires upholding editorial standards reinforcing organisational values and advising senior leaders on effective leadership communication while establishing clear processes and responsibilities. Additionally you will implement recommendations from the internal communications audit propose new approaches manage communication risks and ensure channels and activities remain consistent with global and regional strategies.
