ACADEMIC REGISTRY

Senior Manager ()

The Academic Registry is one of the key units in supporting the Universitys mission by providing a variety of professional services to our stakeholders and the community at large. Headed by the Academic Registrar the various Sections (namely Academic Affairs Section Academic Quality Support Section Admissions Office Undergraduate Studies Section and Taught Postgraduate Studies Section) offer a wide range of support and services to prospective students students graduates staff members and the public covering admissions of quality students academic quality assurance scheduling of classes and examinations student record services and secretarial support to the Senate and its Committees.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating admission strategies and goals and overseeing the overall arrangements concerning local and non-local admissions in response to emerging needs;
  • Supervise a team of executive and supporting staff in the planning coordination and organisation and promotion of local and non-local outreach and recruitment activities and university-wide events;
  • Coordinate admission data analysis development of useful statistics/dashboards and collation of reports;
  • Assist in reviewing policies regulations and practices of different aspects of admissions;
  • Assist in the admission website and system development or enhancement initiatives of the University;
  • Provide other support including university-wide projects/committees; and
  • Any duties as assigned by the Academic Registrar.

Requirements:

  • A recognised degree plus at least 7 years of relevant experience relevant work experience in multi- or cross-functional areas of the registry in the tertiary education sector would be an advantage;
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Good organisational interpersonal presentation and supervisory skills ability to work independently and under pressure; and
  • Candidates with high proficiency in IT applications and experience in organising large-scale events are preferred.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
