Job Summary
Duties And Responsibilities
Career Education Coach Key Responsibilities Guide students in exploring career interests aspirations and professional development through individual and group coaching workshops and classroom instruction. Deliver career development curriculum and support the development of essential skills including resume writing interviewing job/internship search strategies and building a professional brand. Help students develop Durable Skills and Career Competencies to thrive at MSU and beyond by decoding complex career-related information and tactics. Maintain service excellence by tracking student progress recording detailed client notes and using data to inform and improve coaching practices. Student Success Advisor-Specific Duties: Conducting one-on-one and group appointments with students reviewing appropriate learning strategies for students for Student Success via referrals through the Navigate/Early Alert program Residence Life MSU 101 CARE team as well as self referral by students who know they need help with pursuing their degree. Assist students decode important information ideas and tactics to help students develop the skills necessary to receive the full benefit of their education. Provides student-facing assistance and education on learning management via workshops strategy clinics hosting classroom lectures assisting with the US 103 Learning Strategies course and group appointments. Serves all students and is vital to ensuring learning management instruction and support to enhance retention and degree completion in a variety of settings.
