Lecturer in Communication & Director of Boiler Communication
Location: West Lafayette IN Campus

The Brian Lamb School of Communication invites applications for a Lecturer in Communication and Director of Boiler Communication the Lamb Schools student led public relations firm. This is an academic year non-tenure track appointment renewable annually.
Principal Duties:
The candidate for this non-tenure-track Lecturer position will be teaching and mentoring undergraduate students and serve as Director of Boiler Communication which will include:
- Teach/Direct Boiler Communication which has approximately 40 students and works with 12-15 external clients each semester
- Teach 3 additional classes each semester in Public Relations and related areas as needed by the department such as
- Problems in Public Relations
- Social Media for Social Good
- Problems in Advertising
- Public Relations Techniques
- Teach experiential learning classes that work with community partners
- Facilitate and maintain relationships with multiple community partners and clients
- Mentor undergraduate students in the Lamb Schools largest concentration Public Relations and Strategic Communication
- Participate in departmental and program activities events and collaborative initiatives
Required Qualifiations:
Masters in communication or related field (or applicable teaching and professional experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
Public Relations industry experience
College teaching experience
Demonstrated commitment to experiential and community engaged teaching practices
