Responsibilities

The Monitor Technician is responsible for the on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

High school diploma or equivalent
Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED:

Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course or equivalent coursework with a passing score.
Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units

Work Hours:

0700-1930
