Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Claims Specialist Life Claims to join our Claims team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in handling life accident and medical claims with a strong preference for exposure to death and critical illness (CI) claims as well as high-net-worth (HNW) medical claims. This role involves direct engagement with agency partners supporting operational excellence and contributing to strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Assess and process life accident and medical claims with a focus on death and CI cases
Handle HNW medical claims with discretion and professionalism
Conduct roadshows and training sessions for agency partners to enhance claims understanding
Support the Claims Manager in preparing reports dashboards and operational reviews
Lead or participate in mini projects to improve claims processes and customer experience
Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex claims issues
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Insurance Business Administration Nursing or related discipline
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in life and medical claims
Professional insurance qualifications (e.g. FLMI ACS) are advantageous
Strong knowledge of life accident and medical claims assessment
Experience in handling death and CI claims; HNW medical claims experience is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for agency engagement and roadshows
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Proficient in MS Office (Excel PowerPoint Word); experience in claims systems preferred
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
