Job Overview:

The Central Sterile Technician (CST) is responsible for thedecontamination sterilization assembly and distribution of surgical instruments and medical devicesin a hospital setting. The role supports thePerioperative Departmentby ensuring all instruments meetsterilization and safety standardsand are available for patient care. This is acritical contract rolewith an urgent start date.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Decontamination & Sterilization:Clean disinfect and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to hospital protocols.
• Instrument Assembly:Inspect assemble and package surgical instruments and trays for upcoming procedures.
• Inventory Management:Maintain inventory of sterile supplies monitor stock levels and ensure timely restocking.
• Quality Assurance:Verify the proper functioning of sterilization equipment and ensure all instruments meetJC and hospital standards.
• Distribution:Deliver sterile instruments and equipment to operating rooms and other departments as needed.
• Documentation:Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles instrument usage and quality checks.
• Compliance:Adhere to hospital departmental and nationalCS/SPD standardsand safety guidelines.
• Communication:Work effectively with OR staff nurses and other healthcare professionals to support surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• PreviousCentral Sterile/SPD experience(required)
• NationalCS/SPD Certification(required)
• Strongcommunication and organizational skills

Additional Notes:

• Urgent start requiredon 12/29/2025; delayed starts are not permitted
• No RTO (Return-to-Office) during the contract period
