Join our team as a Registered Nurse and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing cancer and cancer-related health this role youll provide expert patient care health teaching and counseling while delivering interventions that restore and support well-being. Youll work collaboratively with physicians and licensed providers to carry out medical regimens and lead a dedicated care team of nurses and clinical support staff. Beyond daily patient care youll also take part in professional development opportunities through workshops in-service training and ongoing education. This is an opportunity to grow your nursing career in a supportive environment while helping patients and families navigate their most critical health journeys.Nights: We offer a starting pay of $54.08 per hour based on your experience along with a comprehensive and highly competitive benefits package.
Qualifications:
Required Education and ExperienceLicense Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing1; or
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and prior experience working in a nursing home psychiatric facility or other sub-acute facility1; or
3. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting. 2
NOTES:
1. Incumbents must serve a one (1) year full-time probationary period as a Nurse I in order to be eligible for promotion to a Nurse II.
2 Upon successful completion of orientation and the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full-time) the incumbent would be eligible to be promoted to a Nurse II. This individual would then serve a one (1) year full-time probationary period as a Nurse II.
3. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have their BSN and have previous oncology experience.
