Position Summary:

This role is responsible for performing routine laboratory procedures handling the transfer checking and validation of methodology and project work within the department to support manufacture and release of pharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities:

  • To perform quality control analytical testing of incoming goods intermediates and/or finished products under cGMP conditions for QC release or as part of stability studies.
  • To perform GMP data review of quality control analytical testing of incoming goods intermediates and/or finished products under cGMP conditions for QC release or as part of stability studies.
  • To prepare technical documentation including but not limited to analytical write-ups standard operating procedures specifications investigations and reports.
  • To perform planned preventative maintenance and performance calibrations on equipment.
  • To perform transfer/verification/validation of laboratory procedures within the team where required.
  • To assist with technical troubleshooting related to analytical equipment analytical methods or unexpected results
  • To maintain own training records and support and train other team members as required.
  • To participate in continuous improvement activities and look for further opportunities to progress the team/department.
  • To communicate optimally with others on site and internationally and to participate with them in problem solving activities.
  • Ensure cGMP is applied in their area of work and enforce to cGMP in all areas of the business.
  • To collaborate with HSE cGMP and 5S principles continually.
  • To carry out any other tasks which may be required from time to time.

Eh&s:

  • Understand emergency procedures and follow safe systems of work.
  • Ensure compliance with environment health and safety and security policies and procedures rules signage and instructions at all times
  • Ensure prompt reporting and investigation of all accidents near misses and breaches of rules

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemistry or a strongly related scientific subject area
  • Experience of instrumental and traditional analytical techniques.
  • Ability to work to critical timelines with the ability to contribute through overseas travel related to the project eam.
  • Effective communication skills at all internal and external levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills
