DESCRIPTION:
Youll perform sophisticated analyses to ensure product quality and safety in our laboratories. As a QC Scientist IIyoullconduct complex analytical testing tosupport the analysis of raw materials and other production samples using approved analytical methods.Assistin the investigation of problems relating to the quality of materials and incoming raw materials for the QC laboratory according to Thermo Fisher procedures.Youllwork with analytical instruments and technologies while making a meaningful impact on patient health through precise quality control testing.
Working with cross-functional teamsyoullexecute validated test methodsparticipatein method development and validation activities investigate out-of-specification results andmaintaindetailed documentation of analyses.Youllcontribute to continuous improvement initiatives and helpestablishrobust analytical processes while adhering toGLPrequirements and safety standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced degreeorBachelorsdegree withat least 1years of experience inalaboratory environment performing analytical testing.
Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistryorrelated scientific field.
Expertisein analytical techniques such as Karl Fischer Titration FTIR UV-Vis Spectrometry HPLC GC Wet Chemistry and bioanalytical methods.
Work safely adhering to company EHS policies prescribed safety instructions and wearing prescribed personal protective equipment.
ReviewCOSHHdocumentsand carry out risk assessments as.
Calibrate analytical instrumentationbeforecommencingwork as the need arises by methods and quality systems.
Maintain instruments in good order report defects and repairs as advised to Process Leader andQCManager.
Analyse materials with accuracy and precision in line with approved analytical test methodswhile meeting department target times.
Strong knowledge ofGLPpracticesand quality control requirements.
Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and quality management systems.
Excellent documentation practices and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Mandatory requirementto wear PPE including lab coat safety glasses and gloves.
May require flexible scheduling including occasional weekend work.
Experience with method validation and transfer activities preferred.
Knowledge of data integrity requirements and good documentation practices.
Demonstrated ability to investigate out-of-specification results and author technical reports.
Maintain 6S housekeeping standards keeping work areas clean tidy and safe.
