Roadway Engineer
We are seeking a Roadway Engineer to contribute to transportation solutions for cities and counties. This position offers the opportunity to work in a forward-thinking environment gaining experience in transportation planning engineering consulting marketing client interaction and project management.
Salary range: $83200 - $133200
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects under the direction of a Project Manager
- Complete tasks independently and within the project schedule
- Prepare or modify portions of project reports plans designs and calculations
- Develop project quantities and assist with cost estimates
- Support engineering teams with organizing and managing design files
- Conduct research data collection field investigations and contribute to project development
- Prepare highway designs including planning documents and PS&E
- Coordinate with various design disciplines such as structures hydraulics stormwater traffic and utilities
- Ensure timely completion of documents within budget
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- E.I.T. Certification
- Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Caltrans Highway Design Manual AASHTO Guide California MUTCD and APWA standards
