Job Summary

Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast affordable broadband to a wide range of customers including consumers businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Transform the future of aviation hardware by leading critical development programs that bridge engineering innovation and supply chain excellence. Youll be the strategic orchestrator who ensures high-quality cost-effective materials reach production directly impacting the performance and reliability of aviation technologies. Were seeking an innovative and collaborative Global Commodity Manager to drive critical aviation hardware development programs from concept to this pivotal role youll own the management of aviation hardware components from part entry forecasting and demand including EE MCAD and PD parts. You will oversee engineering change orders and plan part disposition by aligning with the contract manufacturers production orders to meet building yields and rates. Establish processes and automation to ensure the aviation supply chain delivers high quality cost effective materials to support production requirements. Perform cost analyses from projected yields to aid in procurement strategy adjustment as needed. Ensure that the respective commodities meet the technical specifications and cost requirements necessary for aviation terminals.


Key job responsibilities
Manage aviation hardware component lifecycle from initial concept through production overseeing part entry forecasting and demand planning
Develop and implement strategic processes to optimize supply chain efficiency and material quality
Coordinate engineering change orders and production planning with contract manufacturers
Conduct comprehensive cost analyses to refine procurement strategies and support production requirements
Ensure technical specifications and cost parameters are consistently met across aviation hardware commodities

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Youll navigate complex engineering landscapes connecting technical specifications with procurement strategies and ensuring seamless communication between design teams and manufacturing partners.

- Experience developing leading negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
- Bachelors degree in business economics engineering analytics mathematics statistics information technology or equivalent
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- 7 years of supply chain management (e.g. logistics inventory turn management forecasting operations) experience
- Experience creating reports interpreting metrics and driving overall insights or analysis
- Experience delivering technology products or services in a high growth environment

- PMP certificate or Masters degree in supply chain management operations engineering analytics or related field
- Experience with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations or similar technical platforms
- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
- 5 years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations global contract management process improvement operational and financial analysis experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
