About the Role

We are looking for a Project Coordinator based at our Melbourne branch in Derrimut. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion and end-to-end coordination of equipment and plant hire for our customers. This position involves managing documentation supporting the project team with the resources / training they need to succeed and ensuring that all hire requests are fulfilled with the right equipment delivered on time and aligned with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Track project performance
  • Ensure that all team members have the required resources and training
  • Represent NPE in concept planning and progress meetings with key clients and projects (attending client sites preparation of the scope of work)
  • Review tender submissions
  • Identity review and manage commercial risk
  • Prepare and conduct project hand overs
  • Develop project management plans execution plans schedules and other project related documentation
  • Monthly reporting
  • Maintain a project register noting key risks to be monitored and managed specific to each contract
  • Dealing with external/internal stakeholder demands conflicts and change
  • Develop budget estimates project plans drawings and prepare tender submissions in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Manage the co-ordination of equipment and plant hire processes for customers
  • Ensure that customers receive equipment suitable to their needs and within their required time frames
  • Maintain all hire records and documentation associated with equipment hire
  • Liaise with the sales department and other NPE branch on equipment availability
  • Generate and issue invoices for all rental contracts
  • Organise equipment deliveries and pick-ups within set timeframes
  • Process reporting requirements including EOM reporting and ad hoc reports as requested by the Manager
  • Promote NPE rental products and services to ensure continued growth and long-term success
  • Providing support or coverage to other similar roles according to operational requirements or providing coverage for when the employee is on leave or requested by the Manager
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and championing the NPE brand

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Current C-Class Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in a Projects position
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role
  • Exceptional organisation and planning skills with strong adherence to deadlines
  • Patient flexible and adaptable to changing and challenging circumstances
  • Great problem-solving and an ability to work well under pressure and support team members
  • Team-player with an ability to contribute to ongoing improvement and expansion within your own knowledge and skill set
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience in the Rental Mining Construction or Heavy industries
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering Mining Business Management or similar
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Project Primavera P6 (or similar)
  • Knowledge of dewatering pumping system design pipeline design and installation
  • Demonstrated customer service experience with large client accounts.
