We are seeking
Consultant/Specialist Anaesthetists to join a large modern and rapidly growing
teaching hospital in one of Victorias most vibrant regional cities.
You will:
- Provide specialist anaesthetic services for a broad range of adult and paediatric surgery (excluding cardiac neurosurgery and transplant surgery)
- Deliver high-quality pre-operative assessment and post-operative care
- Share in the on-call roster for acute and emergency cases
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to anaesthetic trainees junior doctors medical students and nursing staff
- Contribute to quality improvement governance and service development within a busy growing department
The Anaesthesia & Pain Service- 11 modern operating theatres
- Large regional tertiary referral centre with broad surgical exposure
- Accredited by ANZCA for up to 12 months of training toward FANZCA
- Strong focus on teaching mentoring and professional development
- Collaborative collegial multidisciplinary environment
This is an excellent role for consultants who enjoy teaching and want to balance complex clinical work with a supportive team-based culture.
The Hospital Services include:- Aged care and rehabilitation
- Cancer care
- Maternity and womens health
- Mental health
- Elective and emergency surgery
Activity profile (approximate annual figures):
- 45000 inpatients
- 65000 emergency presentations
- 15000 theatre cases
