Job Description:
The Associate position will assist the Director of Mens and Womens Cross Country Track and Fieldwith assigned duties in support of the NCAA Division I programs to help develop our student-athletes to reach their full potential.
Duties may include:
- Assist coaches with running practice sessions as directed
- Assist with planning logistics and executing home meets
- Driving student-athletes to assigned activities/events and supervising them
- Help coaches with various on-campus recruiting activities
- Serve as a mentor and resource to student-athletes
- Possible administrative tasks
- Adhere to University Conference and NCAA policies procedures and regulations
The ideal candidate will have expertise and success with cross country and distance events. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. This position may include the opportunity to travel with the team for some competitions.
This is a part-time position limited to 780 work hours per fiscal year. Anticipated schedule is 30 hours per week. This position is not eligible for the ISU benefits package.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree.
Experience coaching or competing in track or cross country.
