Position Overview
We are currently looking for Equipment operators CDL and non-CDL drivers to operate a variety of specialized railroad equipment which include Hi-Rail trucks off-track bucket trucks and on-track brush cutting equipment. We offer comprehensive on-the-job training so that you can confidently perform a variety of services for industrial and commercial clients. Our projects include right-of-way vegetation maintenance programs and asset management services for railroads DOTs utility companies commercial industries Federal State and local governments throughout the United States. Experience with vegetation management is a plus but we will train the right individual
Job Duties
Provides line clearing and tree trimming services for major railroads
Services provided include pruning treetops repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal as well as removing broken limbs from rails wires roofs and other objects
Properly maintain prepare and operate all tools and equipment including hand tools chainsaws chippers and aerial lifts
Operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundman and Crew Foreman
Qualifications
What Were Seeking:
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Preferred: valid drivers license
- Preferred: Commercial Drivers License-Class A with Tanker Endorsement
- Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
- Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates if required by state law
- Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist ISA Certified Tree Worker and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
