DescriptionGeneral Accounting Manager Corporate -42nd Street- Full-Time Days
Supervises directly a Senior Accountant and indirectly a Staff Accountant
Responsibilities- Coordinates month-end closing of the General Ledger with Data Center and Finance Department
- Assists in the preparation of monthly and audited financial statements
- Interacts with various departments to answer questions and obtain information necessary for monthly General Ledger closings
- Review journal entries and account analyses for accuracy and compliance with established accounting policies and procedures
- Consults with Payroll Human Resources Purchasing and other department to solve accounting related problems
- Interacts with departments regarding Budget Comparison Reports questions
- Prepares Malpractice related account analyses
- Reviews year-end Hospital Audit Schedules
- Coordinates and prepares schedules for Hospital Employees Pension Plan Audit and assist in the filing of related 5500 IRS Form
- Assist in the preparation of Hospital 990 IRS Form
- Oversees the filing of quarterly/annual federal and state withholding tax forms
- Acts independently to address and resolve problems and issues that arise in areas under his/her responsibility
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in accounting.
- PC experience. Supervisory experience required.
- MS Office Suite (Advanced)
