Life Enrichment Coordinator Full Time Days Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln NE is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to work full time flexible 32 hours a start time of 9:30a would be ideal. No holidays and weekends on very rare situations.

The Life Enrichment Coordinator contributes to the wellbeing of Tabithas Seniors/clients/residents by planning developing implementing and supervising recreational and therapeutic activity programs that provide stimulation or solace; promote each Seniors/clients self-respect self-expression personal responsibility and choice. This TEAMember is responsible for ensuring the life enrichment program occurs within the context of each Seniors/clients comprehensive assessment and care plan and reflects each Seniors/clients individual needs.

Essential Functions

• Plans develops organizes implements and evaluates programs and activities in accordance with current rules regulations standards and guidelines.
• Carries a Senior/client case load providing activities and participates in development and implementing plans of care for this population.
• Ensures health services provided by the Life Enrichment program is provided in the most appropriate setting as dictated by the Seniors/clients medical and social needs.
• Conducts surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
• Develops implements and maintains an ongoing performance improvement program for the Life Enrichment program.
• Assures preliminary and comprehensive assessments are developed updated and maintained according to program standards and state and federal regulations for each Senior/client.
• Prepares and plans the Life Enrichment programs budget and submits to the Administrator for review recommendations and/or approval.
• Provides Administrator with information relative to the activity needs of the Seniors/clients and the Life Enrichment programs ability to meet those needs.
• Participates and manages surveys by authorized government and accrediting agencies.

Ideal Candidate

• AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 18.
• EDUCATION: Associates or Bachelors degree in therapeutic recreation or field preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: One year of full-time experience in a resident activities program in a health care setting required. One year experience coordinating a resident activities program in a geriatric health care setting preferred.
• CREDENTIALS: Qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Therapeutic Recreation Assistant preferred. Valid Nebraska Drivers license (unless otherwise allowed by law) and a good driving record required. Must possess auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements. Must meet Tabithas vaccination requirements.
