The Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) works under the delegation of the CNS and/or aligned nurse administrator to collaboratively improve the quality of patient care and promote desired patient outcomes within a designated population or specialty practice. As a key clinical resource the CRN supports nursing excellence by guiding best practices elevating clinical standards and helping teams deliver the exceptional patient-centered care for which Mayo Clinic Florida is known.
This role will provide support to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) CERT STAR ED Mayo Clinic Care Beyond Walls and other initiatives led by the Department of Nursing (DON). The CRN will have the opportunity to influence innovative care models collaborate with highly skilled interprofessional teams and contribute to Mayo Clinic Floridas reputation as a national leader in complex care clinical quality and nursing innovation.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program required. Masters degree preferred.
Three years of successful work experience in nursing.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient needs and CRN workload.
Two years in the specialty area preferred.
License and Certifications:
Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
The candidate must be actively enrolled in a CNS education program. The CRN will have five years to complete their CNS education and certification and APRN license
Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers) Military Training Network.
Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.
