Job Summary

**Position Overview:**

**Primary Responsibilities:**

The responsibilities associated with this role encompass but are not limited to the following tasks:

- Facilitate and coordinate referrals to appropriate community resources and governmental agencies that provide essential services.

- Conduct independent evaluations of the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their families developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans that identify patient issues strengths weaknesses coping mechanisms and necessary support in conjunction with the patient family members and the interdisciplinary treatment team.

- Perform extensive psychosocial assessments and deliver treatment to diverse individuals from various socio-economic cultural ethnic and educational backgrounds.

- Apply knowledge of medical and mental health diagnoses disabilities and therapeutic interventions encompassing acute chronic and traumatic conditions as well as understanding the subtleties of pharmacological therapies and medical terminology.

- Execute an array of treatment modalities tailored for individuals families and groups facing an assortment of psychiatric medical and social challenges to meet designated treatment objectives.

- Provide independent counseling and psychotherapy to individuals groups couples and families while adhering strictly to the parameters of licensure or certification.

- Offer expert consultation to peers regarding the psychosocial requirements of patients and the influence of psychosocial issues on healthcare delivery and adherence to treatment plans.

- Engage in professional peer review case conferences participate in research initiatives or involve in requisite organizational activities at the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

**Work Schedule:** Normal operating hours are Monday through Friday totaling 9 hours daily within the window of 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM inclusive of a one-hour lunch break. This position does not require weekend shifts on-call duties or holiday work.

**Minimum Qualifications:**-

**Education:** Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.-

**Experience:** A minimum of four years of practical experience in clinical social work which may include a masters-level practicum or a minimum of two years of post-MSW experience.-

**License:** Must hold an active unrestricted license to practice independently as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from any state.-

**Life Support Certification:** Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification is mandatory.-

**Security Clearance:** Candidates must be able to pass a government background investigation for security clearance.
